Janie Fricke is a native of S Whitley IN, which is just “down the road” from N Manchester IN, where I attended Manchester College in the mid 1990s. This song hit the airwaves 05/18/1985, spent 22 weeks on the charts & peaked at #2. Her late 1977 to late 1989 career included 9 chart toppers & 10 more Top 10 tunes. Familiar favorites include 1980-1’s “Down To My Last Broken Heart” (#2), 1983’s “He’s A Heartache” (#1) & 1984’s “Your Heart’s Not In It” (#1).
