Remember this series!?

Before the famed “ER” drama series, the sitcom “E/R” (notice the difference!) aired on CBS for 1 season, 09/16/1984 to 07/24/1985. As I mentioned in today’s “CD Showcase Memories” (3p US central), this series had continuity with “The Jeffersons” because Julie Williams (played by Lynne Moody) was George & Louise Jefferson’s niece. This show also starred Elliott Gould, Marcia Strassman (pilot only), Mary McDonnell (also cast in “ER”), Conchata Ferrell, Shuko Akune, Corrine Bohrer, George Clooney (also cast in “ER”) & Jason Alexander. Norman Lear produced this series, based on the long-running play of the same name (created & produced by the Organic Theater Company). Despite the continuity with “The Jeffersons”, this show’s setting was a fictional Clark Street Hospital in Chicago IL. I loved this show’s cool theme:
