THEME = recreation: featuring Amy Grant & Montgomery Gentry
2 songs from the 9:30p-10p timeframe of my 04/21/2006 radio show….
#1
Known as “The Queen Of Christian Pop”, this singer-songwriter-author-actress is a native of my favorite city, Nashville TN. She released this song 04/11/1991 from her album ‘Heart In Motion’; this single claimed #1 on the Christian Singles chart. 6 years earlier, she was the 1st Christian singer to “cross over” with a major hit on mainstream pop radio: 1985’s “Find A Way”. Her major pop success came in the 1990s with such tunes as 1991’s “Baby Baby”, 1991’s “Every Heartbeat” & 1991-2’s “That’s What Love Is For”.

This duo consists of Eddie Montgomery (Danville KY) & Troy Gentry (Lexington KY). Debuting 12/28/2002, this song (1 of my favorites from them) spent 33 weeks on the country charts & peaked at #5 in early 2003. It crossed over & notched at #47 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was their 4th Top 10 (of 10 releases). Since then, they’ve notched 5 chart toppers.
I missed all these. I didnt hear much radio during these yrs. Still don’t.
