This Keiser AR-native singer-songwriter-guitarist also acted, portraying Tom Guthrie in TV’s “Bret Maverick”, for which he wrote & performed the theme. This song hit the airwaves 11/12/1983, spent 21 weeks on the charts & peaked at #4 in early 1984. An underrated singer, he enjoyed only 1 chart topper (1981-2’s “You’re The Best Break This Old Heart Ever Had”), with a total of 6 Top 10 tunes of 35 releases, early 1967 to late 1986.
