But, this song is my favorite of theirs; it debuted 03/01/1980, spent 14 weeks on the charts & peaked at #2.

Of all the artists Kenny Rogers has partnered with for memorable tunes, he paired with Dottie West the most. Their 1st duet was 1978’s “Every Time 2 Fools Collide”, which claimed #1 for 2 weeks. This song debuted ~7 months later, 09/02/1978; it spent 14 weeks on the charts & peaked at #2. This duo notched chart toppers with 1979’s “All I Ever Need Is You” & 1981’s “What Are We Doin’ In Love”. 1979’s “Til I Can Make It On My Own”, a cover of Tammy Wynette’s 1976 solo chart topper, peaked at #3.
