Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer-songwriter best known as a member of the Eurythmics. She launched a solo career in 1992; this song (which she wrote) was released from her debut solo album, ‘Diva’, 08/22/1992. This single peaked at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100, #6 on the Adult Contemporary & #7 on the Alternative Songs charts. Elsewhere, it claimed #1 in Canada, while reaching #8 in both England & Ireland. About 2 months later, I bought my 1st car during my 1st semester of college & remember hearing this song driving back’n’forth many times.
