Did you know? This model was a limited-run production version of the Chevrolet Vega for the 1975 & 1976 model years; 3,508 were made, priced $900 below the Corvette! The car featured an all-aluminum inline-4 engine, with Britain’s Cosworth Engineering designing the DOHC cylinder head.
I did not know that. I believe that engine was used in F1 race cars, so if you knew what you were doing, you could probably squeeze more power out of it.
It was used for the lower class of formula racing F2, the 2 was for 2 liter which it was. Also it was one of ht e first attempts at EFI. the Cosworths used a Bendix unit similar to those used in some of the high end European cars at that time. The bill of sale on my CV #0718 was for $5,600!
