Gwen Stefani is a Fullerton CA-native singer-songwriter, who has also designed fashions & acted. She had initial success as the co-founder & lead vocalist of the band No Doubt (featured earlier). During the band’s hiatus, she launched a solo career in 2004, releasing her debut album, ‘Love. Angel. Music. Baby’, inspired by music of the 1980s. This song, released 03/15/2005 as the 3rd single from that album, was written by Stefani, Pharrell Williams & Chad Hugo in reply to Courtney Love’s statement that Stefani was a “cheerleader”. This single claimed #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while notching at #8 on the R&B-HipHop Songs chart. Internationally, it reached the Top 10 of 15 other charts.
