#1
Del Shannon was born Charles Weedon Westover in Grand Rapids MI. Over his career, he notched 8 Top 10s in England, 6 Top 10s in Australia & 3 Top 10s in the United States. This song, his signature tune which he wrote with Max Crook, hit the airwaves February 1961 & claimed #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart 4 straight weeks, thanks in part to his 04/10/1961 performance on “Dick Clark’s American Bandstand”; this single, his debut release, also reached the top spot in England & Australia. In 1986, he appeared on David Letterman’s show & performed the song, backed by Paul Schaeffer & the band.

SheDaisy is a vocal trio from Magna UT consisting of sisters Kristyn, Kelsi & Kassidy Osborn. Their brief career kicked off with this fun song, which hit the airwaves 02/27/1999, spent 32 weeks on the country charts & peaked at #3; this single crossed over & reached #43 on the Billboard Hot 100. Of 14 more releases late 1999 to mid 2006, only 3 reached the country Top 10: 1999-2000’s “This Woman Needs” (#9), 2000’s “I Will…But” (#2, 3 weeks) & 2005’s “”Don’t Worry ‘Bout A Thing” (#7).

Sick Puppies is an Australian rock band formed in 1997, consisting of Emma Anzai, Mark Goodwin & Shimon Moore. They 1st rose to fame in 2006 when their song “All The Same” was uploaded with a video to YouTube. This song, the 3rd single from their 3rd album ‘Tri-Polar’, was officially released 06/22/2010 & peaked at #56 on the Billboard Hot 100, #10 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks & #27 on the Adult Contemporary charts. Internationally, this single also reached the Top 10 of 3 other charts including 2 in Germany & 1 in Australia (#6). This song, a personal favorite of mine, tells a tale that many, if not all, of us can identify with at some level.
