The Script is an Irish band formed in 2001 (now based in London, England), consisting of Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan & Glen Power. This song was released 12/12/2008 & peaked in early 2009 at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 & #1 on the Adult Contemporary charts. Elsewhere, it reached the Top 10 in Australia (#3) & Ireland (#10). While enjoying success in Ireland, this single is the band’s only Top 20 in the United States, except for Kris Allen’s version of “Live Like We’re Dying”.

Semisonic formed in Minneapolis MN in 1995 by Dan Wilson, John Munson & Jacob Slichter. They are considered a ‘1-hit Wonder’ for this song, the debut single from their 2nd album, ‘Feeling Strangely Fine’. This single hit the airwaves 03/10/1998 & peaked that year at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay, #8 on the Mainstream Top 40, #13 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks & #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks charts. It also reached #2 in Canada. The band enjoyed 2 other Top 25 songs on the Modern Rock Tracks chart: 1998’s “Singing In My Sleep” (#11) & 1999’s “Secret Smile” (#21).
