Elsewhere, it reached the top 10 in England (#7), Australia (#6), Belgium (#8) & Norway (#3). The continued to have moderate success on the international stage in the 1990s & early 2000s.

Lou Reed is a musician-singer-songwriter born as Lewis Allan Reed in Brooklyn NY; his solo career spanned decades after 1st being Velvet Underground’s guitarist, vocalist & songwriter. This song hit the airwaves 11/08/1972 as the 1st release from his 2nd album ‘Transformer’; this single peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100. Internationally, it reached #10 in England, #13 in France, #15 in Netherlands & #17 in Italy.
