Michael Peterson is a Tucson AZ-native singer-songerwriter-guitarist who had a very brief career in the late 1990s. His 1st release, 1997’s “Drink, Swear, Steal & Lie”, peaked at #3. Then, this song debuted 09/13/1997, spent 22 weeks on the charts & claimed #1. It proved to be his only chart topper, & 1 of only 3 Top 10s. His 3rd Top 10 was his very next release, 1998’s “Too Good To Be True” (#8). None of his last 6 releases mid 1998 to late 2002 cracked the Top 15, with 1998-9’s “By The Book” coming closest at #19.

Pink Floyd formed in London, England, in 1965 by Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters & Richard Wright. During the late 1960s, the band gained fame in the underground music scene. This song was the 2nd of a 3-part trio; it hit the airwaves 11/23/1979 & claimed #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in early 1980. It was an international success, claiming the top of 16 additional charts, including the band’s native England. On another 6 charts, this single notched in the Top 4, with 4 of those reaching #2. The band’s 1st Top 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 was 1973’s “Money” (#13); later familiar tunes include 1983’s “Not Now John”, 1987’s “Learning To Fly” & 1994’s “Keep Talking”.
