OAR (Of A Revolution) was founded in 1996 in Rockville MD by Marc Roberge, Chris Culos, Richard On, Benj Gershman & Jerry DePizzo, all of whom graduated from Wootton High School & moved to Columbus OH to attend Ohio State University. This band is technically a ‘1-hit wonder’, thanks to this song, released 04/29/2008 as the 2nd single from their 3rd album ‘All Sides’. This single peaked in 2009 at #36 on the Billboard Hot 100, #14 on the Adult Contemporary & #2 on the Adult Pop songs charts; it also reached #43 in Canada.

Oasis formed in Manchester (England) in 1991. Developed from an earlier group (Rain), the band originally featured Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan & Tony McCarroll. The band’s breakthrough international hit was 1995-6’s “Wonderall”. This song, written by guitarist Gallagher, was released 05/13/1996 from the band’s 2nd album ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’; this single peaked in 1997 at #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks & #8 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks charts. Elsewhere, it claimed #1 in Canada & notched at #26 in Australia & #16 in New Zealand. Other familiar tunes from this band include 1994’s “Supersonic”, 1994’s “Live Forever”, 1997’s “D’You Know What I Mean?”, 1998’s “All Around The World” & 1998’s “Don’t Go Away”.
