Scene from the series “Movin’ On”, 1974-1976, starring Claude Akins & Frank Converse; the theme song (written & performed by Merle Haggard) claimed #1 on the country charts in July 1975. The pilot episode was a 2-hour made-for-TV movie, named ‘In Tandem’. The series was filmed on location all over the United States including Glen Burnie MD, Mobile AL, Sedona AZ, San Diego CA, San Francisco CA, Buford GA, Jonesboro GA, Durham NC, Charlotte NC, Astoria OR, The Dalles OR, Hood River OR & Norfolk VA. Later, Akins appeared in “BJ & The Bear”.
