Where in the world are YOU…!?
This ‘geographical roll call’ is courtesy a request from OC,SHer KARL H, who wrote: “The collection of people who frequent this page have to be among the coolest car people I know. I’ve always wanted to hang out with car people who think like I do (about cars, at least) & I’m curious to know how many (if any) OC,SH-ers live near me. What I love about the people who frequent this page is how positive most people are & how they lack the usual automotive prejudices. I like 60s muscle cars & tri-five Chevies as much as the next car guy, but I find myself increasingly drawn to old car underdogs, including cars from the 1970s so-called malaise era, 1980s & 1990s, economy cars & general purpose grocery-getters. I find myself a champion of cars most people don’t think are worthy of saving. These cars are a part of our heritage as much as Model A Fords or 60s Mustangs are & so many car people pass them over, often making crude & derogatory remarks about them. So how about it? Geographic roll call from the coolest car people on the internet?”
Arlington Heights, IL here. For whatever reason, I never got into the muscle cars. I’ve got a soft spot for a lot of older foreign cars, including a lot of Japanese cars from the 80’s and early 90’s.
Southern California where we live and breathe various forms of car culture.
I live in Palmdale, California, not far from El Mirage and various test tracks.
I am 75 miles north of Los Angeles but anything vehicle related is within our reach. 🙂
‘Burbs of East Atlanta, here…
Boston. And I like old everyday cars. I particularly love Corvairs (and am restoring a 1966 Corvair Monza convertible) and from the 1990s, Saturn S-series cars.
