Jimmy Eat World formed in 1993 in Mesa AZ by Jim Adkins, Tom Linton, Rick Burch & Zach Lind. This song, released 11/05/2001 as the 2nd single from their 4th album ‘Bleed American’, is their breakthrough & best-charting hit. This single peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, #2 on the Adult Top 40, #1 on the Alternative Songs & #39 on the Mainstream Rock charts; it also managed #26 in England & #28 in New Zealand. Other successful tunes on the Alternative Songs chart include 2002’s “Sweetness”, 2004’s “Pain”, 2005’s “Work”, 2007’s “Big Casino” & 2010’s “My Best Theory”.

Jack Johnson, a native of Oahu HI, is the son of well-known surfer Jeff Johnson. A former professional surfer himself, Jack is also a singer-songwriter & record producer. This song, which he wrote, is his debut & only release from his 2002 album ‘Brushfire Fairytales’; this single peaked at #73 on the Billboard Hot 100 & #22 on the Modern Rock Tracks charts, while notching at #6 in New Zealand.
