The Go-Go’s are an all-female band formed in 1978 & are the only all-female band to both write their own songs & play their own instruments to top the Billboard charts. Belinda Carlisle became the most-successful commercial solo artist. This song hit the airwaves 06/26/1982 as the lead single to the band’s 2nd album of the same name. That year, this song peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100, while notching at #23 in Canada. Since, it has been heard in various TV series (such as “The Simpsons”, “Scrubs”, “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” & “Glee”), movies (‘Jack & Jill’ & ‘A Fairly Odd Summer’) & commercials (2013 Alamo Rent-A-Car). The band’s 1st Top 10 was 1981’s “We Got The Beat”. Their only other Top 20 was 1984’s “Head Over Heels”.

Good Charlotte formed in Waldorf MD in 1995, with each original member attending La Plata High School & gaining fame at the HFStival (Washington DC’s WHFS) in 1998 & 1999. This song, released summer 2007 as the 3rd single from their 4th album ‘Good Morning Revival’, peaked at #25 on the Billboard Hot 100. Previously successful songs include 2002’s “Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous” & 2003’s “The Anthem”.
