Fastball formed in Austin TX in 1995, originally known as Magneto USA, but changed their name to Fastball after signing with Hollywood Records. This song hit the airwaves 02/24/1998 & peaked that year at #1 (7 weeks) on the Modern Rock Tracks, #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, #4 on the Top 40 Mainstream, #2 on the Adult Top 40 & #25 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks charts. Elsewhere, it claimed #1 on 2 different Canadian charts. The beginning of the song is a radio scanning through FM stations with songs featured: Jewel’s “Foolish Games”, Roy Orbison’s “You Got It” & Madonna’s “Vogue”.

Filter formed in 1993 in Cleveland OH by Richard Patrick & Brian Liesegang. Patrick had left 9 Inch Nails as their touring guitarist. This song was released 11/16/1999 as the 2nd single from their 2nd album ‘Title Of Record’; it peaked in early 2000 at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 on the Hot Dance Club Play, #7 on the Adult Top 40 Tracks, #4 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks & #3 on the Modern Rock Tracks charts. Elsewhere, this song peaked in the Top 10 in Canada (2 separate charts) & New Zealand (#8).
