A cancer survivor & a Little Rock AR band….

This song, her debut release from her 5th album ‘Yes I Am’, was released in 1993, but peaked on the charts in 1994 & 1995: #8 (Billboard Hot 100), #10 (Mainstream Rock Tracks), #1 (Adult Contemporary). Evanescence was formed in Little Rock AR in 1995 by Amy Lee & Ben Moody. This song, written by Lee, Moody & David Hodges, was the 1st release from their 1st full-length album, ‘Fallen’; this single debuted 04/22/2003 & reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, while claiming #1 on the Alternative Songs chart. Featured on the soundtrack to the 2003 movie ‘Daredevil’ (which I saw in the theatre after my 01/06/2003 open heart surgery), this song also topped charts in Australia, England & Italy.
#2b
Also featured on the soundtrack to the 2003 movie ‘Daredevil’, this song was released from the band’s album ‘Fallen’, 12/08/2003. This single peaked in 2004 at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 & #19 on the Adult Contemporary charts. Elsewhere, it reached the Top 10 of over 15 other charts. So far, the band’s only other major-charting tune is 2006’s “Call Me When You’re Sober”. In 2004, Amy also appeared on Seether’s “Broken”.
You think we don’t have much music in common, but you post a lot of songs and artists in these CD Showcase posts that I like.
Cool …. good to know, Ben!
