This British band enjoyed moderate success in the 1970s. Formed in December 1972, the band’s original name was Ace Flash & The Dynamos. This song (since covered by such artists as Barbara Mandrell & Rod Stewart) is their only Top 40; released in 1974, it reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 & #24 on the Adult Contemporary charts. It also notched at #3 in Canada & #20 in England. 1 of the members, Paul Carrack, has since become famous as lead vocalist of Mike & The Mechanics.

This Canadian band was formed in 1988 by Freddy Curci, Steve DeMarchi, Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen & Mike DeRosier. This song is their most-successful international release. Debuting 09/08/1990, this single peaked that year at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 & Adult Contemporary charts. Elsewhere, it claimed #1 in Canada & reached #30 in Australia. Chicago-area news watchers may remember the 1st line of the song used as the start of the opening for “1st Thing In The Morning”, anchored by Allison Rosati & Bob Sirott.
