This song, a parody of Queen’s “Another 1 Bites The Dust”, was re-released on his debut album in late 1981. It became so popular, that it garnered his 1st TV appearance on CBS’ “The Tomorrow Show” with Tom Snyder. His next release, 1983’s “Rickiy”, peaked at #63 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Recorded 12/13/1983 & released as a single 02/28/1984, this song, a parody of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”, was a commercial & critical success, earning him a Grammy. Released as the 1st single from his album ‘Weird Al Yankovic In 3-D’, the song peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Elsewhere, it claimed #1 in Australia, while notching at #5 in Canada & #6 in New Zealand.
