I was the cubmaster when my sons were in Cub Scouts, and remember many of these events. And these days, my hubby is our Awana Commander, where we have a very similar derby. We just did ours a week and a half ago. I have pics on my phone, of some pretty unique derby cars. Will post them later.
It was fun, but I could never build anything close to a winning car.
