#2
After 1982’s “Sweet Yesterday” stopped the string of 4 straight Top 10s when it peaked at #12, this song debuted 06/05/1982, spent 24 weeks on the charts & claimed #1. It has become her signature tune & most-remembered hit, thanks to a jump to the pop charts where it peaked at #15 on the Billboard Hot 100.

#3
The follow-up to her smash hit “Nobody”, this song hit the airwaves 10/30/1982 & spent 20 weeks on the charts, 2 of those at its peak of #2 in early 1983. A duet with James Galway stalled at #57 later that year (“The Wayward Wind”).

#4
This song followed that duet with James Galway; it debuted 05/07/1983, spent 18 weeks on the charts & peaked at #5. Check out the official video! 1983’s “The Boy Gets Around” followed, but it notched at #18.

#5
Debuting 12/03/1983, this poignant song spent 19 weeks on the charts, 2 of those at its peak of #3 in early 1984. After 2 releases in 1984 failed to reach the Top 20 (“Victims Of Goodbye” was closest, notching at #24), she notched 3 straight Top 10s in 1985’s “Fallin’ In Love” (#2, 2 weeks), 1985’s “Cry Just A Little Bit” (#9) & 1985-6’s “I Love You By Heart” (#9; duet with Michael Johnson). Neither of her last 2 releases cracked the Top 30.
